How green does Mission Beach look right now, after a couple of days of rain everything is glistening.....I suggest venturing out to one of the many rainforest walks located in and around Mission Beach......off course if you want something a bit more adventurous then white water rafting on the Tully River is a good option too!!!

Frankland Island Cruise & Dive Boat

On Thursday, I spent the day with the Frankland Islands Cruise & Dive boat. After a short boat trip from Deeral (an hour & a half drive from Mission Beach), we arrived at the beautiful national park island with lots of lovely wildlife. The sun was shining and the water was calm. I went for a snorkel and saw lots of parrotfish. The staff were very friendly and the food was great too :)

My favourite walking track in Mission Beach is the Edmund Kennedy in South Mission Beach.....a walk through the rainforest, along the beach, around the point for a view of the Islands & on to Kennedy Bay. It's a 7km round trip but you can go as far as you like & then turn around. A fantastic option if you want to get out for a bit of exercise or to just enjoy the beautiful place we live in!

It seems like a bit of a foodie theme happening with us at the moment.......but I had a fabulous dinner at Millers Bar & Grill on Tuesday night. My steak & roasted vegies was great, I must say if I was a seafood eater then I would have been really impressed with my friends Seafood Platter, it had so many different thin...gs on the plate & got a big thumbs up. We are so lucky with our choices here in Mission Beach!

Had a lovely day at Paronella Park yesterday. We headed off with rain jackets and borrowed umbrellas and had a great time. The rain had enhanced the Park with everything looking so green and fresh. Dunk Island Sportsfishing

My Uncle went out fishing with Alistair from Dunk Island Sportsfishing yesterday and had a fabulous day. They went out to the Reef and caught many different types of fish, including the yummy nannygai that we had for dinner last night! I wonder what he will catch today????? I had a lovely dinner at Jetty's last night. 2 of us ordered off the regular menu and 2 had the 3 courses for $35.00, and we all enjoyed our food selections. Had a lovely day on the Echo Creek Rainforest & Cultural Experience "Yunba Tour". This is their new tour, its a shorter day for those people who might not have a lot of time to spend in Mission Beach. Johnstone River Crocodile Farm

Less than an hour drive from Mission Beach is the Johnstone River Crocodile Farm. I went there on Saturday morning for the 11am guided tour where the staff feed the crocodiles while telling us about them and the farm. They do this tour twice a day, again at 3pm in the afternoon. You can go anytime during the day but I find that its worth going on the tour. If your keen you can hold a snake and a crocodile, and you also get to feed the kangaroos that roam around the farm. My friend was very excited about holding the snake but I didn't find the need myself.
