Castaways Resort at Mission Beach has the Bibesia Beach Club up and running. Yipee!!! There is a timetable of activites ranging from Pilates & Yoga, Beach Volleyball, Mind/Body Detox on Sunday mornings and a weekly swim squad class in the 25 metre lap pool and of course the Gym which can be accessed all day.. Surf Life Saving Club

Found the perfect spot for a sundowner yesterday, the Surf Life Saving Club in South Mission Beach is open from 5.00pm - 7.00pm on Friday's and Sunday's. Sitting out on the balcony enjoying a cold beer with friends........that's the life in Mission Beach!!!

Spicy Thai Hut

Spicy Thai Hut in Mission Beach is now opening for lunch. Friday, Saturday and Sunday 12.00 noon - 2.00pm. A special lunch menu will be available, no doubt it will be as good as the dinner menu, so everyone will be rushing in!!!!

Wine & Cheese Tasting Evening

Dust off your Gladrags and come along to what will be a fabulous night (if we remember it!! ) in Mission Beach. Its the Wine & Cheese Tasting Evening at the Mission Beach Resort on 2 July from 6.30pm. Over 30 wines to sample and regional cheeses and foods. RicKenJacs Cafe at The Big Cassowary at Wongaling, Mission Beach is a great place to catch up with friends for coffee, breakfast or lunch. Richelle makes everything on the premises and its all really delicious!! She has a following in Mission Beach for her famous quiches and the 'mongrel dogs' are just the thing for a hangover. And cheesecake to die for!!

Its Origin Game night again tonight. To catch it on the Big Screen with a cold one at Mission Beach head on down to Scotty's Bar & Grill. Also the South Mission Beach Outriggers is putting on a sausage sizzle from around 6pm

Long Weekend

It's been a fantastic long weekend in Mission Beach, the weather has been perfect even though it was forecast for rain! I hope everyone has had a good one, and safe travelling to those going home!

Beachfront Holiday Units located at South Mission Beach. Anchor In looks out over Dunk Island. There are four 2 bedroom fully self-contained units. Each unit has a double bed and 3 single beds.

JuJu Moon at Scotty's Bar & Grill

JuJu Moon and the Big Band is on this Sunday 13th at Scotty's Bar & Grill Mission Beach. Playing in the Front Bar from 6.30pm....Remember its a long weekend so some of us can sleep in on Monday morning!!!

Johnstone River Crocodile Farm

Less than an hour drive from Mission Beach is the Johnstone River Crocodile Farm. I went there on Saturday morning for the 11am guided tour where the staff feed the crocodiles while telling us about them and the farm. They do this tour twice a day, again at 3pm in the afternoon. You can go anytime during the day but I find that its worth going on the tour. If your keen you can hold a snake and a crocodile, and you also get to feed the kangaroos that roam around the farm. My friend was very excited about holding the snake but I didn't find the need myself.

The Mission Evolve Music Fest is on again this year at Mission Beach. Yipeeee!! The venue is Dundee Park just a short drive from Mission. The date is 15th-17th October. Don't be square....be there!! Dunk Island

Had a fantastic day on Dunk Island yesterday. Went over on the Water Taxi which was a lovely way to travel. Did the walk to Muggy Muggy, and then almost got to the top of Mt Kootaloo before deciding it was time for lunch and a beer. Enjoyed them in the Planation Bar in the Resort before lounging around the cascade pool before it was time to head back to the mainland. Can't wait to go again! Castaways Resort

I popped into Castaways Resort at Mission Beach this morning for a coffee and a look at the renovations. WOW!!!...its totally gorgeous. The decor, the ambiance, the menu...all to die for. Mission beach locals are particularly well looked after with discounts on top of the already more than reasonable prices. You have to go and have a look .......its so worth it!!

Tropical Fruit Tasting

If you are passing through beautiful Mission Beach try and get down to see the lovely people at the Mission Beach Visitors Centre to try the fruit tasting on Mondays and Tuesdays for a small fee of $4.00 per person between 1 and 2pm. Its fabulous!!
